The Costa Brava is the name given to the coastal area of Spain that begins in Sa Palomera, Blanes, and ends at the border with France in Portbou. It limits the north with the south coast Vermeille and the Costa del Maresme. More than 30% of the total surface area of the regions of Gerona is protected because of its natural interest.
The most important natural areas of the Costa Brava are: Natural Park Cabo de Creus Natural Park of Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, the Medes Islands Marine Reserve Ses Negres and the beaches of Costa Brava.
The area of the Costa Brava also has a total of 65 cataloged museums showing the reflection of the artistic expressions that have occurred throughout history. But in this coastal area are also available for sale and rent, many luxury homes.
